Pagee Beach (also Paggee) is a large fishing beach located in Port Maria, the capital of the parish St Mary, Jamaica (Caribbean). The beach is famed for the Annual Fishermen's Regatta Competition. It has other variations in spelling such as 'Paggee', 'Pagie'. Pagee Fishermen's Regatta was born in 1962. It began as a small project of the Pagee Fishermen's Coop. It had a number of boating competitions as well as fun activities for the entire family. Since then it has grown into a Mecca Calendar event happening every 2nd Wednesday in August. This event has an annual patronage of over 30,000 patrons. This has been arguably the biggest one day event in St Mary Parish. It has attracted locals, foreigners and the media.
