While I can assume that they may have known each other, I am still trying to prove that they did. I will be visiting Burr Oak, this year, for "Laura Ingalls Wilder Days" at the end of June to see what else I can learn. ... 14

@teresasmith2415last year Like others , I too started watching Little House on the Prairie when it first came out & I still watch reruns of it. Too bad we don’t have shows like this anymore, it had morals & respect that related to all unlike the shows of today. I never really had a favorite character bc each person brought something to the show that I could relate to. Bless them all for giving & entertaining us with their emotions on the show & Bless those that we loved & lost from the show. They will always be remembered in our hearts. ❤️ & 🙏s ... 79

I grew up watching 'Little House on the Prairie,' own it on DVD and have watched it all from the pilot movie, through each episode of every season, to the last movies that were made multiple times. It still comes on the Hallmark Channel every day; and most days, I watch it still. It's such a wholesome show, heart-touching, and just beautifully done. Every family should watch this show together. It teaches the morals and values that are timeless and so needed in our society today. ... 9

@kizpawslast year This series was such a gem, every character was intriguing and fun to watch and identify with. What amazes me is how well all the children actors did with acting and delivering lines! They were so young yet so professional!
I think that my favorite character would have to be Harriet Oleson, as I am sure that everyone has met a Harriet in their life, lol! That actress played the part magnificently!

@beverlyhill9947last year LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE WAS SUCH A POSITIVE SHOW IN THAT THE VALUES THAT WE ALL CHERISHED WERE ALL CLEARLY SHOWCASED IN EACH OF THE CHARACTERS. IT WAS A LOVELY WAY TO SHARE TIME WITH FAMILY, WATCHING THE FAMILY COMMUNITY OF "LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE." CHILDREN TODAY HAVE NO CLUE OF THE VALUES THAT WE ALL UNDERSTOOD THAT WERE A PART OF OUR GROWING UP YEARS AND INTO ADULTHOOD AND STILL EXISTS FOR MANY OF US, DESPITE THE VERY SAD STATE OF OUR COUNTRY, OUR WORLD. GOD WAS VERY MUCH A PART OF THIS SERIES. THE WRITERS DID NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WHO MIGHT GET OFFENDED IF ONE USED A CERTAIN WORD...COMPARE AND CONTRAST THAT WORLD OF YESTERYEAR AND THE WAY CHILDREN ARE GROWING UP TODAY, IN A WORLD THAT IS EVOLVING SO FAST, OUR HEADS KEEP TRYING TO KEEP UP...THERE IS MUCH GOOD WITH THE TECHNOLOGY OF TODAY...BUT THERE IS THE DARK SIDE AS WELL. THE CHILDREN ON LITTLE HOUSE, UNDERSTOOD WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO BE A CHILD, TO CLIMB A TREE, TO GO FOR A WALK, TO GET DRESSED UP FOR CHURCH, TO APPRECIATE A SMALL GIFT THAT WAS A HUGE TREASURE...AS MONEY WAS NOT A FOCUS...JUST TO LIVE WITH NEIGHBORS, THE COMMUNITY, THE CHURCH IN HARMONY AND PEACE...AS MUCH AS ANY HUMANS BEINGS COULD DO, BEING HUMAN. THOSE MEMORIES ARE SO PRECIOUS TO ME AND WILL NEVER FADE IN VALUE NOR TIME. THANK YOU FOR THIS UPDATE. IT IS SAD TO HAVE LOST MANY OF THE CAST SO YOUNG. "CHARLES INGALL" OF CANCER AND OTHER CAST MEMBERS. THIS WAS A GIFT TO WATCH THIS POR PRESENTATION. I FELT WARMTH AS I WATCHED THIS VIDEO. I WILL NOW LOOK INTO PURCHASING SOME OF THE EPISODES OF LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE. THANK YOU, KINDLY FOR THE WORK THAT WENT INTO THIS VIDEO!~~WARMLY AND BLESSED WITH MEMORIES, BEV~~ ... 6

@michaelsadams524last year I grew up on Little House In The Prairie. I not only watched the television series; I read all the books as well. It is hard to pick a favorite chartacter because all of them were excellent in portraying their respective characters. That being said, the 2 that really stand out to me the most are Melissa Gilbert as Laura and Michael Landon as Charles Ingalls.
What is really special about these 2 is that not only did they stand out in the characters they portrayed, they were not type cast into them. They were quite successful in other roles as well. We often hear of actors and actresses who become identified with a particular character they portrayed that they are not able to go into other roles. But this was not the case with Melissa Gilbert and Michael Landon.
I do remember when Michael Landon became ill and passed away at the age of 54. I, along with many more of his fans, was deeply saddened by his passing. It is wonderful, however, that even though he is gone his legacy lives on.

@kallikantzaros444411 months ago This show was my favorite when I was a kid back in the 70's and it still is cause my country's national television is still showing it every Sunday afternoon! It was dubbed at the time of its first airing with dialogues in my language and that's a bit annoying cause I never heard the real voices of the participants, it was a common practice back then it was cheaper than subtitles gave work to many unemployed actors/actresses and I guess brought the Ingalls family closer to us! ... 2
