Skype is a video, audio, and chat app by Microsoft. The app is available on Mac and PC and on iPhone and Android. It allows you to chat for free with your contacts that have a skype account. You can easily do video or audio chat or even share your screen. @George107674 years ago Well-designed, software explains itself to whoever uses it. It should not need a " how to use, beginners' guide" the people who conceived the mess calledsimply do not understand how people think. Perhaps the most basic problem is its abuse of the english language.
for example, what is the difference between the concepts called call and chat? What does chat mean, anyway? Should it matter to skype if i gossip about the weather, or else seek to discuss the most profound theories of human existance?

@mikecrabtree82004 years ago Skype is my main phone service. It is on all my devices. I pay approx 100. 00 a year for a phone number and the ability to connect to pots/cell. This way skype has other benefits, but messenger can also do all those things. So few people use skype and so many use messenger. Its sad really. If microsoft pulled their heads out of their backsides. They could have a full phone service, unlimited calls to land and cell, phone number, texting and video calls. For 150. 00 a year. I would happily pay that for a full service like that. But ms insists on charging for each text. This my be the biggest reason that skype was overlooked by the masses as a mobile voip service. And believe it or not, people will pay for it.
