His existence is a constant internal struggle, as he is both repulsive to creatures of light and too pure for creatures of darkness. After being taught magic by the Arch-Mage Xymorus, Mortervus used his knowledge to take over the throne of Unquale, creating a cruel and oppressive regime that instilled fear in the world. His ultimate goal is to become the God of Fear, Cruelty, and Domination, spreading terror across the land unless someone stops him.
