This is by far the best way to make hummus! We usually make a big batch and eat throughout the week. Cooking your own chickpeas really takes it to the next level, making the hummus ultra-creamy, smooth, and pillowy soft. You can easily just use canned chickpeas for this recipe, but when you make it from scratch, it’s so much more creamy and flavorful. If you’ve never made hummus this way before, try it at least once and I promise - you will see a huge difference!
HUMMUS:
1 cup raw chickpeas (2-3 cups cooked chickpeas)
½ cup smooth tahini
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
Juice of 1 lemon
3 garlic cloves
4-5 tsp. cold water (adjust as needed)
⅓ tsp. cumin
Salt
Pepper
TO SERVE:
Toasted pine nuts
Paprika
Sumac
Greek salad
Warm pita bread
